The sea is a grounding force at Slow and Sow, and we are fortunate to live close to the shore in West Sussex. It is where we go to blow away the cobwebs, slow down and contemplate the small things, having spent many hours watching ribbons of water as they wind their way back to the returning tide, the comforting roll of waves, or the shadows move slowly over seaweed on the sand as the sun falls below the coastline. We are drawn to the sea and its restorative, uplifting nature, the salty air and glittering horizons it brings.
In the early days of January it was a pleasure to send some scarves to the seaside of West Wales for a creative collaboration with photographer Leia Morrison. She captured our work beautifully in the studio and on Llangrannog beach, alongside a few other small brands, such as our friends at Hiut Denim, and recycled jewellery brand Lennie Beare.
